	Melza and Etta Mae Rooks started Rooks Farm Service in 1972. The company is made up of different departments and led by different family members. The owners are brothers Charles and Mike Rooks, their mother Etta Mae Rooks and Charles’ son Jeff Rooks. Rooks Farm Service started another division in 1990, Rooks Grain Elevator. Then they opened Rooks Lawn & Garden retail store in 2004. The four acres Rooks Lawn & Garden includes a plant nursery, mulch, rock, paint, light hardware and a gift shop.
